In this research, one of the dimensions of this important issue has been studied. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between the degree of trade openness and happiness in selected developing countries in the period of 2002-2007 by the GMM panel method. The results of model estimation have shown that the degree of trade openness has a nonlinear and threshold effect like Inverse-U shape on happiness. The reasons for this result can be attributed to the diversity of consumer products and thus increasing consumer utility and satisfaction in the early stages of economic opening and then by expanding the degree of trade openness and crossing the threshold level, the negative impact of the degree of openness on happiness can be attributed to issues such as increasing income inequality, differences in expected and realized happiness, and the effects of globalization on informal institutions. دستیابی به جامعه‌ای شاد یکی از اهداف امروزی جوامع بشری محسوب می شود که چگونگی دستیابی به آن، توجه بسیاری از پژوهشگران و سیاستمداران را به خود جلب کرده است. در این پژوهش نیز یکی از ابعاد این موضوع مهم مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. هدف مقاله حاضر بررسی ارتباط درجه بازبودن تجاری و شادی در کشورهای منتخب درحال‌توسعه در بازه زمانی 2017-2002 با روش روش پانل گشتاوری تعمیم‌یافته بوده است. نتایج برآورد مدل نشان داده است که درجه بازبودن تجاری تاثیری غیرخطی و آستانه ای همانند U معکوس بر شادی داشته است. دلایل این نتیجه را می توان به تنوع محصولات مصرفی و در نتیجه افزایش مطلوبیت و رضایت مصرف کننده در مرحل ابتدایی بازشدن اقتصاد و در ادامه با گسترش درجه بازبودن و عبور از آستانه، تاثیر منفی درجه باز بودن بر شادی را می‌توان به مواردی چون افزایش نابرابری توزیع درآمد، تفاوت شادی انتظاری و تحقق‌یافته و اثرات جهانی‌شدن بر نهادهای غیررسمی نسبت داد. https://jem.semnan.ac.ir/article_5444_561adab29959213e903f5f2fa2a29c83.pdf
